Afua is a Senior Associate at Black Rhino. She brings several years of experience in investment banking and finance to the team. She is involved in reviewing and evaluating all projects as it relates to the company’s proposed and existing projects. She is also responsible for working with third party public and private funding sources to create financing solutions for development projects. Before joining Black Rhino, she worked at Barclays Africa in the Project Finance Group. Prior to that, she was a banker in the FIG M&A group at Deutsche Bank in London, as well as the Project Finance/Special Situations Group in New York. Prior to her MBA, Afua worked at Black Rock Financial Management in NY, Goldman Sachs Asset Management in PA, and with Simon Murray China Fund, a Private Equity Firm based in Shanghai, China
She holds a Bachelors in Mathematics (Cum Laude) from Mount Holyoke, MA, USA, a Bachelors in Engineering from Dartmouth’s College, Thayer School, NH, USA and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, NC, USA. Afua obtained her Series 6 and 79 Investment Banking License in New York, as well as her FSA in London.
